XL type star couplings are also called shaft couplings, which are mainly used to connect the drive shafts of various mechanisms. Due to different mechanical equipment, the functions of various couplings are also slightly different.
For example, the couplings on forklifts are used to Transmits power between the transmission and the transaxle.
Due to the short longitudinal dimension of the drive train, forklift trucks under 3 tons generally adopt a rigid connection structure, that is, the engine-clutch-transmission-coupling housing-drive axle are all connected by bolts, that is, the engine to the drive axle is a rigid whole.
The middle part of the rigid body adopts a gear coupling. Forklifts above 5t generally use universal joints due to the long longitudinal dimension of the transmission system. The power is transmitted to the drive axle of the forklift through the coupling.
